Tyrants throughout the ages, no matter how powerful or supreme their authority, irregardless of the source of their sovereignty, could never free themselves from threat of insidious poison which could bring them down to deaths door. This fact alone made the arrogance spewed forth from the Bloody Woman's lips fall into irrelevance that were Veronica's ears, as the moment of weakness that shook her form had become vivid enough to exploit.

The Golden Sea of Gospel Pages, which had been strewn about the skies in the form of countless golden arcs in which to throw the towering beast into confusion, had all altered their random course. Streaking to convergence at a central point via illuminated tendrils of formed from their bodies of golden sheets, that which hovered above the towering beast of decadence and below the unholy eye sat aloft in the sky; the amassing of their golden forms shining forth the golden light in a display of vivid radiance meant to blind all.

The keen senses that had been honed by the Bloohound of the Cross had now sensed two bodies within the core of the beast, though one was faint and dwindling. She held little interest, as what would come next would be the only option she possessed that gave the most likely chance of shredding through the horrid amalgamation set before her. The swirling assessment of gold hovering above continued it's gathering, it's still extended tendrils acting as but temporary distractions until a speeding object clad in but a transparent blue orb broke forth from it's center, a trail of gospel keeping pace and trailing behind, spreading out in such a manner as to resemble wings previously shown, the words "God Lives in Heaven" written upon it's surface.

A meteor from the Golden Heavens above that came screeching down towards the wriggling abomination affected by the holy mixture in which it had foolishly absorbed, utilizing both the supernatural speed in which the faithful pages had granted her and the assistance of gravity itself, for the pages were not prepped to slow her descend at any moment like all the times before; she would need all of the power she could muster if she were to plow through the unholy abomination and into it's core, where both those sensed within would feel the impact of Divine Retribution. Upon reaching that far, the simple act of doing so should slow her to a controllable pace due to the resistance.

The Deos Coetui Angelorum had already been used once before, and it's power to reject utterly formations of unholy origin had been made apparent. It would act as her hammer; her spear of flame in which to ignite the demonic construct which lay before her and rend it into naught but ashes, to plow through all of it's unrighteous vegetation and cleanse those encased within. It's properties would also act as the strongest of shields in which one could ask for when confronting such a beast, as it rejected all who rejected it. The Nun, within the sphere of divine protection and rejection, would cross her forearms before her, shouting forth from her speeding form as she would bore into the conglomeration of vine and blood. "God is but a consuming fire, and I his instrument. So I will become a ball of fire and descend upon the wall of the Unholy One, and it shall devour her strongholds until they are naught but ash!

A piercing lance of light to which she had tried to avert with weak brittle branches had come to shudder into breaking ashes that infected the rest with the same effect like a virulent strain breaking them all apart before the radiant holiness that had quantified in multiplication the coursing poison flowing along with blood and driving her weaker by the moment, had sprung her head up to see the inevitable speed forth, made even easier from that goddamn Samurai whom she had thought for all intents and purposes dead. They just can NEVER stay dead, these bastards. But he was dead, a puddle of fleshy ooze as if melted into molten cheese of former flesh, finally dead for good. Not that it was a matter of actual satisfaction as she had faced another most annoying gnat that just kept stinging again and again and again without a stop, thinking all these would stop her long lived unlife since the days of old.

The long shining spearing impalement came soon after as she staggered towards the edge in a bid to get out of the way in slow steps, breaking apart the vines by will from her back as it snapped, and she was left with only normal flesh. Shambling as she had looked up to the force speeding with the velocity almost as if it was a bullet, as it impacted right through the cocoon into a sudden shatter of ashes that spread and pooled unto the ground below. The woman blacked and crisped into charring fire, screeching out a pained scream for every nanosecond the light bore into her form from the center of her breasts, and soon, from that black, cremated into nothing resembling the humanoid guise she wore as a parody of mankind.

The atrophying vines of hers hardened, and likewise shattered all over till a sandy-like mound of dark particles formed a small hill right directly below, as evidence of her existence was left behind by the majority of blood, the ashes, and the destruction that left all dead, save the lieutenant and the nun, in her wake. The sword fell and sunk right down to the hilt at the top of the mound of ashes, as the eye from above the sky, seemingly the moon, had gazed onward at the result. The lids closed, and like a mirage, faded away and vanished. The skies returned to the dark black cover of shadow, and the fog swept away as a whole, no longer obscuring the battle from onlookers from afar, aside from those that were within in it, and the damages were incurred. As far as anyone that was close enough to see, were killed, or remained in hiding in terror, only to be speared nonetheless for all their efforts by the Bloody Woman.

The abhorrently dark faded away, like a crystalline sharp reek that filled one's spiritual feeling with sheer wrongness, ebbed away in hasty evaporation as peace had infiltrated all from throughout the area and reasserted the natural order of things. What is human, what is holy, and what is salvation. The terror was over finally, but at what cost?

All had been pushed away, harshly torn apart and wrathfully scorched in the path of the seemingly unstoppable spear of the Deos Coetui Angelorum which was driven by a faith unshaken. The wriggling mass of abomination held great resistance, but utterly failed to repel the meteoric judgement that pierced it's armored hide and into it's fleshy core, the streak of gold and blue obliterating a path of tearing destruction, whereupon the impalement brought forth it's most damaging aspects.

Golden Light erupted from it's dark mass on it's journey, searing all that touched it and rending it into the ash that which had been promised to produce. The pile which was formed was great, and it would not be allowed to rest upon it's chosen place. Upon cutting the righteous path through the abomination, the Champion of the Cross had utilized the resistance provided to slow herself as she neared the streets below, changing her bodily position to a feet first landing in which the impact would bring forth a plume of the amassed dust.

Landing in the crouch amongst the airborne ashes, the trailing pages would swirl violently around the injured and exhausted Paladin to solidify their dispersal to the wind with their golden spiral akin to a tornado, sending the ashes into the atmosphere in which the particles would never again come into contact. The result of which left the fallen sword exposed in it's bare form, no longer buried in the hill of gray which it had fallen, leaving it standing amongst the ruination of the surrounding rubble by it's lonesome.

Veronica did not rise for the moment, as nearly all strength had left her body for the myriad of injuries she had sustained, on top of utilizing the most powerful exorcism technique in her abilities, twice, within the same night, had left her exhausted. A hand clasped hold of her side, atop the bloodied gospel page which still held firm against the wound to prevent more profuse bleeding, as well as her other clasping the crimson stained paper covering her right eye, which was given the same duty as the other.

Expressions of fatigue and discomfort had suddenly taken form on her marred features, her breath becoming haggard and ragged, which she could not steady to the point of becoming unnoticeable. A moments rest within her crouched position, obscured by the swirling vortex of golden pages which was quickly joined by it's quartet of sisters that had been tasked with protecting the foolish Lieutenant, she would force herself to wearily stand tall amidst the illuminating dance before giving a tiresome glance at the ruin and destruction around her.

Then, as if she had never even appeared before it all, her form vanished within the swirling mass to be carried off into the skies; towards home, where medical care would be readily available. She had it within her to pull enough out of the fumes she was currently running on the make it back.
