Darkness.

What was happening...

Reese had been typing on his computer, filing in a form to cover up the recent expenses of the equipment lost during the transportation of that Japanese agent. Strength. It was quite significant, but he would make it work. Fudge a few things here and there and before you know it the money that they needed would be just another lost needle in the haystack of major funds that the government received. He lost this mid progress, but that was the least of his worries. The power never went out here, and the way this was shaping up, it was far to quiet around here, given the unusual circumstances he imagined an uproar would take place. At least, an uproar to fix the problem, not the very soon uproar of escaped convicts.

This worried Reese, to no end.

He stood up, and lifted the watch he had been given to his lips to get in to contact with the other trusted V.W.A.T. agents that had received them. He spoke in to curiously, not letting the nerves that struck in to his voice if he could help it.

"Attention, Agents, power seems down on my end, very little if anything seems to be working. What is your status? Do not give me your positions, repeat. Do not give me your positions, the line is more likely than not compromised. Just your status, does anyone have power, where are the prisoners, whats happening. Let's keep each other informed."

Reese didn't have a lot of time to formulate what he was saying so he merely spoke what he thought best for the time while drawing his gun from it's holster. Not something he did very often, and for a moment he wondered if this was the day that he would have to kill his first person. He pushed this thought out of his mind however, worry came later. Training came first, and Reese pulled a flashlight out of one of the drawers in his desk. It was for emergency when the lights went out. He never thought he'd have to use it. But it seems he would.

Reese attached the light to his gun, inspecting the room around him. Listening for any sign of disturbance that he might hear and looking for anything weird or moving.

His plan at the moment was find some way to get the power back on. He placed the remote Steeler gave him in to his pocket and started to try and remember where exactly the fuse box was, maybe he couldn't turn it back on if that itself had been sabotaged. But he might gain a few clues as to who did this by inspecting what exactly cut the power.

He debated buckling down and finding some safe cover in case an enemy showed up, but Reese imagined that the prisoners would try using this as an attempt to escape or at least murder some guards. If they made it this far in the first place then no amount of cover would save his hide from that horde. He would have the best chance of survival by turning the power back on, and helping the guards and himself to organize a bit more. Get a better offense.

Reese began to move slowly and cautiously. Waiting for a response from his watch before heading straightaway to the power, but not wasting time on just sitting there.

Reese heard Brandon's response to his message, thank God these watches still worked. Though according to Brandon it seemed that literally nothing else did. Reese gathered for the most part that Eleanor and Brandon were going to do their best to turn the power back on and quell the prisoners. He would try and find something else useful to do then...something else that only he might be able to do. But what?

Reese stopped his trot to the elevator, and backtracked to the guard room, he would go there, there were supposed to be some guards stationed there, if he could gather them in numbers, at least just a few they could try and fight against the complete chaos that ensued in this entire place.

Flashlight out, gun at the ready, and heart racing a million miles a minute, Reese cautiously attempted to get to the guards post. Even if they refused to leave he could at least alert them of their situation and tell them to bar the door at all costs, and make sure no one got through.

Reese heard Brandon's comment, they were about to get some company up in here. This caused him to throw a little caution to the wind as he sprinted down to the guard station, and rip it open as fast as he could.

The men there were disgruntled and unsure of what to do, but they were alive, they had weapons, and they had flashlights. There was probably more supplies in there as well.

Reese made sure to shine a light on his person when he opened the door, so that they saw it was him entering. He spoke to them briskly and authoritatively.

"Prisoner's have escaped their cells, collars don't work. Steeler is gone, and the power has been completely sabotaged. The mess in complete chaos and there are guards and prisoners fighting all over the premises. We need to form a barricade. There are prisoners already on their way here to try and break out.  Follow me. We have to stop them."

Reese stepped back from the room and brought his communicator up once more.

"We've sealed the doors up here, and we are beginning to form a barricade. I've found some of the armed guards, but we can't stop all of the prisoners. Not enough of us, and not enough firepower."

Reese walked with his six guards in tow, they had their weapons at the ready, and he quickly threw his elongated desk in front of the stairs that the prisoners would have to use to get here. That would stop them from an immediate charge, but still let any of the other guards or soldiers by without much of a problem. It would give them just enough time to shoot at anything before it could go crazy on them, basically.

Reese didn't know what else to do exactly, but he did make sure to set up his eight guards now as the last two joined him on the stairs, he hoped they all had their vests, and he told them to use whatever cover they could find to not be seen, and to protect them from return fire. They were professionals however. He had no doubt in their ability to perform, he would just guide them only as much as he needed to.

Reese decided to take it upon himself to respond to Brandon now.

"Company is duly noted and being prepared for."

Reese put his communicator down and was at the ready once again. He almost wanted to join the others down there, but for what purpose? What reason? What could he do? He wasn't any better than the average soldier around here which was certianly passable. But not enough to survive rushing into a swarm of angry psycho prisoners.

Outside of Steeler's office Empty Re: Outside of Steeler's office

Reese having secured the area, was now looking towards the next few rooms. He wasn’t sure how long it would take for the prisoners to make it up here, but he wasn’t willing to risk their only possible garrison to find out. Reese spoke up softly to the soldiers in the room.

“Hold your positions, I’m going in to the next rooms, I’ll flash my light twice if I’m the one coming back.”

Reese walked briskly into the hallway so he could start his descent into the dark rooms, soon enough as he made his way to the second floor he could hear people. What they were doing and who they were he did not know. But he knew he must find out.

Entering the room his gun at the ready Reese made sure to announce that it was him coming in to the room. He was taking a dare; if these were prisoners he was about to be torn to pieces by bullets or knives. But if these were soldiers he was worried they might shoot him out of fear, if they didn’t know who he was.

Reese flashed his light around and indeed saw quite a few with their guns out, very nervous, very tense. He immediately set about giving them orders.

“Power has been sabotaged, prisoners have escaped and the collars don’t work. Highly skilled agents are attempting to fix these problems but we need to set up a front here. Get men on those doors, we aren’t letting anyone past them unless they are guard. Some of you, find some lanterns, we can’t keep using these flashlights for everything. Those of you who know how know how to work the technology keep yourselves near the surveillance room at all times. We have to be ready to get some eyes and ears out there as soon as the powers on. ”

Reese watched them scramble to follow these orders, and at that point flashed his light to the soldiers, hollering for them to get up there. He had them take positions already ready with their rifles and flashlights to guard the only hallway in to that place.

He saw the men break out a few high powered glow sticks, and set them around the place to act as lanterns. Those would have to do. Reese spoke in to the communication device on his wrist again.

“Second floor is secure, more armed guards have become organized and the barricade has been advanced.”

Looking over at one of the men coming up from down stairs he saw that they had thought ahead and brought whatever extra provisions they had had in the guards room with them. He was thankful for this, and decided to take one of the rifles, holstering his pistol. He placed his flashlight on the weapon and then returned to monitoring the soldiers progress. It was smooth and efficient, he couldn't ask for much more.
