Old Instructor Apartments Empty Old Instructor Apartments

Post by Marcus Provenzano Sun Feb 15, 2015 11:51 pm

The small apartments are remnants from an earlier era of the complex, and they have been blocked off and out of use since a new, more modern section of rooms has been built for instructors. They are situated much father away from any other housing than the regular rooms for trainees, which is part of the reason they were taken out of service in the first place. Consisting of only two rooms - main room and bathroom - the apartments are nothing much in the way of aesthetic, but they are comfortable in an odd sort of way.

Marcus' "apartment" is furnished with a queen bed (that rarely sees use), tiny kitchenette, and bathroom with only a standing shower. Along every flat surface there are books of ever kind, and shelves have been installed on nearly every wall to accommodate the young man's scholarly pursuits. A desk housing a laptop and stuffed with notebooks and piles of papers sits next to his bed, obviously well used.

<----------Underground Training Facility

Shuffling his way into his brightly lit room, Marcus can't help but wonder if today would be any better than yesterday; he always seemed to think the day would be a little brighter just after a run.

Pulling off his shoes, he dumps them by his rumpled bed before stripping out of the clingy runner's wear. He knows he should try something else to jog in, if for no other reason than to skip the looks on the girls' (and to be fair, a few of the boys') faces when he came by. Yes, it was fitted. Yes, it was compression material. And yes, it displayed every inch of him with perfect clarity. But dammit, it was the only material that allowed him to move properly when out on a run, and keep his muscles loose and malleable.

Dropping the wet clothing into a bin, he shambles into the bathroom for a quick shower, one that involved a lot of scrubbing and some very hot water.

His muscles were sore, but a good sore, and he could feel them loosen even more under the onslaught of heat. It was still a strange sight, to see so much of him vanish in so short a time; sure he was fit, exceedingly fit, but the healthy sort of fit he had once been is gone. Even the long scar on his ribs was pulled taunt and odd, the tissue not moving quite right with the rest of his tight skin.

After running his hair through a quick wash, he finishes up in the bathroom and towels off, fluffing his hair into a damp mess. A brush is pulled through the dark locks, enough so that he could snare it into a small ponytail, much like before. Meandering into the main room, he hangs his towel and dives through his closet and dresser, donning his standard fare in little time.

With just enough time left, he pulls on his boots, snares his bag, and jerks his coat off the back of his desk chair. In a few more steps he is out the door and on his way back to meet one of the few people he actually wanted to be around.
