Khalid Jamal

Nickname(s): Warrior, Pilgrim

Age: 22

Race:  Advanced Human

Gender: Male

Organization: V.W.A.T

Organization Rank: Sergeant

Character's Appearance

Standing at a rather intimidating height of six foot and two inches the Afghani is a powerhouse, thickset, and covered in lean muscle his body structure is well defined with him only having ten percent body fat; his body is kept proportionate however. Khalid doesn’t allow any of his body to become too bulky, or out of proportion to the rest of him to keep himself balanced and to avoid sacrificing being agile for muscle and bulk. Adorning his body are numerous bruises and scars, mainly on his front with heavy scarring on his right side from guns, knives, and even getting caught partially in the blast by various explosives. His skin is a dark tan, almost dusky in its colouring though that’s as much a result as spending a lot of time in the sun and doing numerous outdoor activities as it is his natural skin tone.
His face has thickset features, with a pronounced jaw, brown eyes and a thick head of curly brown hair; his nose shows signs of having been broken once or twice though it appears to have healed well, marring his appearance very little.

His combat clothes are heavily influenced by his country of origin, as well as being influenced by his desire to be restricted or weighed down as much as possible, mute brown cloth trousers and tee-shirt with a red and brown leather jacket over the top, wrapped around the middle to the bottom of the sleeves are wrapped in cloth to cover up some fraying and to keep it completely held together. The jacket goes down to his knees, being quite long although it’s not one solid leather piece and has cuts going up it that end at his belt to make sure it doesn’t restrict his movements. His belt goes over his jacket and holds it close to his body, as well as this the leather jacket provides him with a place to store numerous weapons in various pockets alongside the holsters on his belts. He also wears leather assault boots, with thick rubber soles, they’re an extremely effective footwear for various reasons including the level of protection they give his feet.

His normal clothes for out of combat situations consist of black jeans, and a white tee shirt with the same assault boots he always wears; although he rarely goes out and not many people usually see him dressed for civilian life either way so it makes little difference to him how he looks at these times.

Khalid adds whatever he can to his clothing to make himself as effective as he can at any missions he attempts, if he is going into heavy combat he will wear body armour in the form of Dragon Skin (it will be mentioned at the start of missions if this is the case, it not being something he always wears) with reminders of his culture covering this up. These cultural signs include things like the star and crescent on his belt buckle and various scripts in Arabic dotted discreetly on his attire (for example “Allahu Akbar”, though his favourite has to be written across his shoulder pads: “Allah will not give mercy to anyone, except those who give mercy to other creatures.”)

Personality Information

Khalid is a complex individual, prone to all manner of emotions he is as far from being just a rage filled psychopath as he is from being a pacifist that rejects all violence altogether. Though at times depending on the situation and the stimulus he can swing between certain extremes, for example he can go from his normal state of calm, controlled aggression to raging psychopath in the blink of an eye if someone puts him or someone he cares about in trouble. Though other things can earn his wrath and anguish it is mainly threats to those he cares about, loyalty to family and friends being something that means a lot to him as throughout his life he has been part of terrorist cells and military units in which he has had to place at least some trust in the others around him in order to ensure success.

Normally indifferent to the world around him, the soldier shows little enthusiasm for anything that happens around him and meets others with politeness and a relaxed, if almost cold air to him. Though this cold air is what keeps him safe and acts as an effective protection mechanism, it tortures him with the monotony he gets out of merely doing nothing, and as a result he seeks conflict as a means of feeling alive and feeling the urge to live at its purest and most refined. However one thing that he can be relied on for is loyalty to those he fights alongside and those that order him to go to war; he is a soldier at heart and although he can disobey and will disobey if he deems it the right thing to do he will otherwise try his best to carry out his orders to the letter; his instincts and sense of duty making him do so.

When met with violence however his demeanour changes from relaxed, polite coldness to pure killer instinct. His body seems to lose all trace of distinguishing body language, changing into a state of concentrated anger, almost like caged lightening bubbling away beneath the surface to fuel him in a fight; he draws these emotions from the recesses of the mind where he keeps them locked away to keep them from manipulating his actions or to prevent them from doing anything foolish.

Combat however is the one time he truly feels like he’s alive, it’s when the bullets are flying that all of his emotions are provoked into a roiling mass that are barely held in check by his willpower that are used to fuel him in combat. While in this killing mood Khalid feels like everything is more vibrant, adrenaline starts coursing through his veins and it’s when he truly feels at his strongest and most powerful with every scent, sound, and sight becoming vibrant and his mood finally losing its stiff blanket of indifference that tortures him so much in everyday life. However the come down is something that anguishes him, the pleasure of having lived and won fading with the adrenaline rush and merely leaving an empty feeling of having killed other people along with some greater guilt over having enjoyed it.

His most vulnerable trait however is his mild PTSD, everything he has done throughout his life, ever murder, every violent act, and every battle has contributed to the swirling mass of guilt, shame, added to the hatred of his love of combat, it adds up to a suppressed sense of self-loathing. When the bullets have been spent and he’s no longer fighting it all comes welling up, he sees moments of him at his worst, moments he feels the most ashamed of, and battles in which he has committed his most sinful, spiteful, cruel acts just because he was ordered to do so. And although he didn’t know better at some of these moments, and the orders seemed just and right at the time it’s not stopped him looking back and feeling all the worse because of it.

This is something that’s growing more serious as the years go by and he seeks no help dealing with his demons; this is out of a sense of having to be strong; Khalid hates the thought of people thinking he needs help as he sees it as a sign of weakness. This attitude leads him to try and avoid seeking help wherever possible, hating the thought of seeming weak and feeble to others; his strength and appearance of strength mattering a great deal to him subconsciously (which is partly why he keeps in such good shape, needing to present a strong front to the world).

Equipment Information

Khalid’s main weapon is the Mk.17 SCAR-H, he finds it an effective weapon and with an adjustable stock he can easily adjust the weapon to be effective at standard ranges and even close quarter ranges. The weapon is painted black, but the paint is heavily chipped on parts of it to show the cold steel beneath the paint. It takes 20 round magazines of NATO 7.62 calibre bullets (of which he carries 5 magazines of,) one in the rifle at the start of the mission and two in both his main coat pockets where he can reach them easily, all of his rounds are blessed and are engraved with the crescent and star of Islam on the tips.

Khalid also prescribes to body armour for protection in the field, his favourite, and as a result the sort he always uses, is Dragon Skin body armour. His set is of extremely high quality, having been specially commissioned to fit his body and to be extra sturdy to last in his new line of work. Dragon Skin is extremely effective armour, Khalid taking the Level 5 protection variant that can take anything up to 7.62mm fire from an AKM, easily stopping a number of rounds up to 5 from that gun and similar ones (in different places) before the vest starts to lose integrity though it can take much greater numbers of smaller calibre, and weaker rounds. Also because of the level of protection it gives, the vest isn’t compromised by AP rounds or steel core penetrators; meaning the numbers it can take isn’t reduced by the type of round.

His side arm is a Sig Sauer P250, using .40 calibre bullets; he has 2 magazines (with a capacity of 14 rounds each) for it tucked away in his coat as well as the one in the pistol. The gun itself is the newest he has, being one he has only recently decided to get so it still has all the paint on it without dozens of scratches in the black paint job.

Combat Knife: A sleek combat knife, weighing 1.23 pounds it's always at Khalid’s belt, overall its length is roughly 12 inches with a blade length of 7 inches; the blade is well maintained and has been blessed numerous times as well as being embossed with numerous Islamic symbols such as the Crescent and Stars and such.

Character Abilities

Modified on a cellular level to constantly adapt and only grow stronger when exposed to the stimulus that is combat, the child soldier has great potential to ascend to the heights of physical power with combat as his stimulus to start to make him develop and “evolve,” in this manner. Overall his potential is hard to gauge (But in terms of meta game we know his Physical Abilities and Durability peak at level 5*) as the experiments that produced his ability for adaption and to get stronger and stronger, but what is known is that the more combat he is exposed to can only help make him stronger unless it kills him or he finally maxes out at his highest tier of physical prowess (though this only manifests as seen below in his healing and his "evolution," which requires SP. His abilities are as follows:

Healing: He doesn’t regenerate quick enough to make a difference in combat, but he can heal and recover from wounds that would otherwise cripple a man; if his spine is broken he can be back on his feet and back to full health in a matter of weeks or recover from broken bones in a matter of days (although that’s partly if he has the required rest to allow them to mend) even limbs will heal with time though it would take a few weeks for this to happen.
Another effect of this is his fast clotting blood, when it comes to bleeding out he’s safe, his blood being filled with platelets that quickly stem the bleeding when coupled with his blood clotting in response to the trauma of large wounds.

Adaption & Evolution: Khalid is at peak human condition (level 0), his body and reflexes refined to a point where they couldn’t be any better without some form of supernatural enhancement or his ability kicking in. In order to adapt, he must spend Soul Points equal to the level the stat will become, for example/clarification to make sure this is understood:
”Khalid up to this point has only spent points on his physical stats, getting it up to the dizzying heights of level 3; but he’s finally got 4 Soul Points, so he decides to spend them on levelling up Physical Stats again to level 4: He is currently at level 3, 4 comes after 3 so it requires all 4 of his Soul Points to level up his physical stats.”
He can only upgrade his Physical Stats and Durability in this way, with no real regeneration as such apart from his fast healing and recovery. [p]
*His stat only go to level 4 through his normal means, and in order to reach level 5 he must spend the points and succeed in a mission equivalent to that of an artefact quest.

Stats: Durability and Physical Stats are both upgraded separately of one another rather than at the same time
Level 0 to Level 1: 1 SP
Level 1 to Level 2: 2 SP
Level 2 to Level 3: 3 SP
Level 3 to Level 4: 4 SP
Level 4 to Level 5: 5 SP+A quest equal in difficulty to an artefact quest.

Economy of motion: Khalid does most of his agility training in his Dragon Skin vest, doing it long enough so that he can move in it so as to keep his mobility and speed in it. He moves in a way so as to make sure that every step is effective in it, conserving energy while also allowing him to move at high speed without tiring himself out; this is also belied by his strength which is partly what allows him to move so well in it. His dexterity is somewhat affected by it, but he is fast enough and strong enough to disregard it and power through.

Languages: Khalid can fluently speak Pashto (one of the official languages of Afghanistan alongside Dari), Brazilian Portuguese (official language of Brazil, was taught it alongside English), English, and can speak some snippets of German (bits he heard from the scientists and Americo, it really is just snippets), and Dari. He is also very fluent in Arabic, having learnt it growing up to be able to read the Quran.

Ranged Combat: A Crack shot with his weapons of choice Khalid is also very skilled at maintaining his guns, keeping them in peak condition and battle ready for whenever he needs them; this results in very little chance of his weapons ever jamming because of his high quality care of his weaponry; specifically his rifle is always cleaned out thoroughly after use to ensure it’s good for when it’s needed. The ex-Child Soldier is a very good shot, able to pick out opponents’ weak points to deal killing shots with very little fuss, though he is most effective at medium to close range due to lack of training at long range shots.

Close Combat: Trained in boxing, Khalid has always been taught the importance of getting the first strike against the opponent to try to end them as quickly as possible. He has also been taught to efficiently use wrestling and judo moves in hand to hand combat as well as making use of his surroundings to aid him extensively in hand to hand combat. He is also extremely good at using his rifle in melee combat, and has also been taught how to efficiently use knives to win in a close quarter engagement. His reflexes have been honed to make him the very best he can be at hand to hand combat, focussing on making use of his great mass and strength, as well as his speed to crush and disable his opponent alongside any other advantage he can. His skills have also covered makeshift weapons, allowing him to improvise in an engagement in the event he doesn’t have any weapons to hand. He is also an expert at Brazilian Jujitsu, having been drilled in it time and time again by Americo while in Brazil; it was during this time that he was refined from just being a scrapper and turned into a true soldier.

Character Biography

Born in Afghanistan in 1992, Khalid’s father was a prominent fighter for the Mujahidin forces whom had just taken control of the forces for the most part. With the fall of the Afghanistan government it soon became clear that the Mujahidin was splintering apart in inner power struggles and so began a long, bloody civil war though Afghanistan had become the “Islamic State of Afghanistan,” with his father throwing his lot in with the growing Taliban, in the next four years Khalid saw very little of his father; with the civil war raging and the fight over Kabul getting fierce the young child experienced an unusually lax upbringing with his mother trying to give him all the love she could and to make life as bearable as possible when things were so turbulent and life was tough.

When in 1996 the Taliban seized Kabul and formed the “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan,” victory brought a few months of happiness in Khalid, his father was home and he was hearing all the stories of how glorious war was and how Khalid would grow to be a great soldier and killer just like his father. These tales got to the young boys head and soon he was dreaming of becoming a soldier himself, and of going to war alongside his father to rescue his country from the sorry state it was in… and although he didn’t understand the concepts of glory and nationalism, and what the war was about, the boy did know his father told him it was good, and that he wanted the young boy to grow up and fight. He also heard about how if his father won things would get better, and that if he lost things would be bad, and so that was a very early influence for him to want to go into combat.

Things got better a year later, the Taliban had control of far more of the country; and so Khalid saw a vast increase in his quality of life because of success through war. It was a time when he rarely saw his father, the conflict escalating at the time despite the recent Taliban victories; he rarely saw his father once again and he was left with his mother.
The next piece of news from the front was a bittersweet occasion; the Taliban had conquered two-thirds of the country by this point and people celebrated in Kabul. But the household of Khalid was one of grief, the battles of Mazar-i Sharif hadn’t ended well for the Jamal household and unfortunately Khalid’s father had died when his squad had been cut off from the main body of Taliban forces and had perished beneath an onslaught of artillery fire. Disheartened but more determined to fight, something snapped in the young man, and after that he developed a dislike of the world in which he lived and a desire to go out and slay the faceless enemy whom he blamed for the death of the man he had called father.

Time passed, Khalid grew older, becoming more and more sullen as the years go by; his only memento of what he had lost being a gun recovered from the battlefield with “Khalid,” scratched into the grip; he stopped paying attention to the war until 2001 when the Americans had boots on the ground. The Taliban was ousted from Kabul and the US started bombing and attacking Soviet compounds. Khalid’s mother died while they fled from the city and the child would have been left alone if he wasn’t taken in by some of his father’s friends. But two years soon passed, and the Taliban became more and more aware that they were outmatched and had to start playing smart, and had to use every man available; that’s when they turned to the youth of Afghanistan. Giving Khalid a rifle to replace that which he had left in Kabul, and with that they began training him and preparing him for use as a foot soldier in the summer of 2002 when the boy turned ten.

However the Americans were the first to strike against the gathering Taliban in Operation Anaconda, over a thousand extremist forces had dug into hillsides and caves while they gathered together to try and take back some of their lost territory. Weathering the assault and using hit and run tactics to fight against their better armed foe, it soon became apparent that the Americans had underestimated the forces the Taliban had gathered together.
Khalid himself became a hero when during a hit and run strike to allow an RPG user to take down a helicopter turned awry, and US troops managed to use suppressing fire to pin them behind what was almost useless cover while infantry advanced to capture or kill them. The first three to get to them were in for a shock when Khalid winged one with his pistol, forcing him to drop his rifle and another took a fatal wound to the neck. Diving aside, and almost falling from their precarious station to avoid fire from the third the young child soldier emptied his pistol at the last one, finally killing him with a shot to the neck as his gun ran dry.

Turning to his AK47 as the situation grew direr, the man with him finally managed to get his shot and brought down one of the helicopters that swarmed over them in the skies but the troops were advancing forwards, pulling back would still be dangerous by this point. Giving out return fire, the young man started to pull back slowly holding his place as they got closer to their cave; ducking behind a large clump of rocks for cover.
He was able to hold them off, the soldiers seemed to be waiting for him to run out of ammo rather than running into his line of fire after another infantryman received a burst to his side when him and two others tried rushing forwards up the hill. His friends ducking down behind whatever they could when they saw the blood.
Their response was decisive though, fragmentation grenades; and as Khalid started backing away one was thrown that just caught him in the blast radius. Shrapnel burying itself in his arm and side, pain searing through him he could barely move as his own blood splattered across the sand. He finally made it into the cave though in a desperate run, though he was forcing himself to carry on moving to survive. Fire echoing around him in bursts though it wasn’t very well aimed on account of other fighters firing from the mouth of the cave; though the fire did little it drew the American’s attention long enough for Khalid to get to safety.

Spending the next few months recovering, the insurgents quickly fled when it became apparent that they were only going to get starved out if they let the Americans keep them pinned down. So the Taliban dispersed from their dug in positions, some spreading stories of a crazy young child soldier’s exploits, with some spreading stories of his close brush with death turning him into a paragon for the other child soldiers.

Mid 2002 was spent avoiding the American’s forces, and preparing for more war on them; that was the start of true guerrilla warfare. It was no longer about big battles; it was now about small squads training on the borders of Afghanistan. Khalid was with three other child soldiers and six adults; the modus operandi was simple; hiding out in the wilderness, gathering for small strikes on isolated bases. Causing as much havoc and killing as many as possible with bombs, as well as their bullets before pulling back and splitting into small groups to avoid counter attacks. This proved effective as they had no bases of operations for the Americans to attack, and getting found and attacked was now something far harder to do.

Time passed, and Khalid’s name was becoming known amongst insurgents; in a raid he was deadly, and by the age of 12 he was sure of aim and sure of cause. There was no give with him and although he did kill and injure an admirable number of enemies the casualties of those that raided with him were also noticeable. He didn’t pull back until he had done all the damage he could, and his reckless nature caused the death of three of his comrades. This was until 2005 when the higher ups in the Taliban made a decision.

Message had reached the Taliban, apparently a research group in Brazil wanted, and wanted a test subject. They needed someone young for whatever they had in mind, and that someone needed to be someone skilled in a fight and strong if the results were to be the best they could. Explaining their reasons this research group turned out to be after Khalid, they determined this thirteen year old fit their criteria and the injuries he had survived (during Operation Anaconda, albeit they heard exaggerated versions of the stories of him,) gave them an inkling that he was the sort of individual they wanted for their tests.

Gold was exchanged, and given to the Taliban in exchange for smuggling Khalid out of the country into Pakistan where a few men escorted him by plane back to Brazil, that’s when everything changed:

In Brazil all manner of tests began, chemicals were starting to be injected into him and his diet and health was monitored. He stayed on a compound, tucked away from the world while all this took place. The only person to come onto the compound was an old comrade of the scientists, they took blood from him and stuck more needles than he could count into him as well as giving him all manner of gene therapy treatments and pills with every meal. This old comrade of the scientists (whom Khalid learned were Nazis), a man who only introduced himself to the ex-child soldier as Americo. This man taught Khalid how to fight properly, giving him proper tools of war and proper protection he swiftly went from just being a barely trained child soldier that survived on luck and natural skill to a true soldier within the first two years.

However after the first two years the experiments bore fruit, Khalid spent days at a time pinned to his bed having fits and in utter agony, his body trying to fight the changes wrought on it as dense muscle formed and his size increased exponentially beyond what he would naturally have developed to. It was then that he started to show some mental instability in the form of his PTSD, seeing all the terrible damage he wrought on people in Afghanistan and seeing some of the things he did in fits of rage in some half remembered occasion when the people of a town tried to oust them… The strain of having fought was showing itself.

Quickly returning to training after these few odd weeks passed and left him bigger, stronger and on his feet again the youth’s day was divided up into weapons practice, unarmed combat and general fitness, in the evenings they honed his mind to the point where he was no longer as uneducated as he had been. In essence they were trying to turn him into the perfect soldier, instilling him with a sense of loyalty to authority and a great willingness to obey. Khalid was a soldier, not a warrior.
By 17 he had reached his full height, a fortnight before his birthday leaving him screaming and writhing as the extreme growing pains had his bones become denser and lengthen out, becoming thicker; his muscles becoming thick and dense, after that only his weight has gone up through becoming broader and developing more dense muscle.

Eventually he reached 21, his body stabilised and although he was sick at times as his body finally adjusted properly to the changes; he was finally fully transformed, his body was finally changed to be beyond human and the results and the possible results in the next few years were beyond what the scientists had hoped. It was at that point that he was set loose with fake papers and a new past, he was of Afghan descent, but his family had fled when the troubles had started with the soviets.

In America things were tough for him at first, the customs were different and things didn’t seem as structured as his life had been in Brazil, but he finally found his calling when a vampire being chased by V.W.A.T operatives tried to break into Khalid’s house to hide, the operatives went into the house expecting the worst; but as they went through the busted door they saw the Vampire fall down the stairs, half of his head missing and a kitchen knife buried in his chest. From then V.W.A.T had to explain themselves to the angry Afghani man stood at the top of the stairs, and it was then that they decided that they needed to bring him in for questioning. He picked up his knife from the ashes, placed it on the side in his kitchen and from there he went to his first interview about what happened. On the recommendation of the squad leader that was at the scene, he was put through discreet testing, and eventually after they finally swore him to secrecy they offered him a job…

Taking the job, the 21 year old was put through gruelling tests and challenges, the physical trials the sort of thing that he would have struggled with if not for his “modifications,” but passing it all and going through more mental trials he was taught about what his new job would entail. But although he eventually passed all the tests he still had more to learn, developing and increasing his knowledge of vampire hunting. This has started his path to becoming a high quality operative, having been made Sergeant on account of his good test scores he is seeking glory in the field through missions; and a chance to attain his full potential.

So far so good, but I read ahead from this point just a but ago and I think this guy is a terrorist...So I don't know if he'd be getting the Rank of Sergeant but we'll see.

Character's Appearance

K, that looks good too.

Too be honest I'm a little lost as to what exactly will make this guys personality range from those very, very different degrees. I see that he can, and I see one thing that gets him mad but thats about it. The range you give is very great and I'm not sure one example will describe just how this guy ticks; maybe you are going for a bit random however, I'm not sure. But if you'd like to give this a bit more meat, maybe get in a few more examples of what makes him feel like this and etc. That might be benefiecial for everyone.

K, that looks pretty good too. I might have asked you what exactly he thinks is moral and immoral but I can get a pretty good idea of that outside of this so I'm thinking thats fine.

K, that is all good. In fact I really liked these couple paragraphs they give us a nice meaty insight about this guy, which is was well placed considering how important combat is to this guy and how serious that is for people in general.

Thats all good.

Combat Knife: A sleek combat knife, weighing 1.23 pounds it’s always at Khalid’s belt, overall it’s length is roughly 12 inches with a blade length of 7 inches; the blade is well maintained and has been blessed numerous times as well as being embossed with numerous Islamic symbols such as the Crescent and Stars and such.

Steering clear of the weapons....guns at least!

Your knife is good i'm thinking. Pretty simple, not much there to take down.

Languages: Khalid can fluently speak Arabic, Pashto, Portuguese, English, and can speak some snippets of German.

Mad props on the boxing. Boxers are friking scary man. Range skills look ok. Languages seem plentiful but, there are some people out there that are just crazy like that. This guy is only like 22 though, so unless he's got a very good reasons for learning these languages in his history I'm thinking that might be a wee bit much.

Now, The cell thing seems cool. I'm going to need to see an exact list of how much sp this and that will take and depending on what you come up with I may approve or ask you to edit this once again. Secondly.

With your motion ability I'm quite familiar with this sense of energy conservation from axe fighting techniques. It's certainly a great strategy and would even let you use a heavy weapon like that with relative ease and grace. BUT. There is a drawback, and it's a big one. Your essentially becoming a slave to your momentum, you have to go with it, and if you break against it it is slow and even more energy consuming. The other drawback, in fights that go for a long time your enemy can totally start detecting patterns. This would be true even with your entire body, albeit, it would probably be harder to get a pattern down. Just keep that in mind.

The only person to come onto the compound was an old comrade of the scientists that took blood, and stuck more needles than he could count into him as well as giving him all manner of gene therapy treatments and pills with every meal.

Eventually he reached 21, his body stabilised (Stabilized) and although he was sick at times as his body finally adjusted properly to the changes; he was finally fully transformed, his body was finally changed to be beyond human and the results and the possible results in the next few years were beyond what the scientists had hoped.

Good history. But there are a couple things. V.W.A.T. Might know if Khalid's papers aren't real. But I'll let John decide that one, even if they do and you kill vampires for them anyways though I'm thinking it's possibly they might not care entirely. Once again up to John on how he wants this all to play out. Secondly, the languages, I'm thinking you learned English to go to America and you did do a little bit of traveling, But at the same time I see no reason why or how Khalid learned to speak quite a few of those other languages especially in so little time. Other than that just a small spelling correction in there and your good to go I think. We'll see what everyone else has to say however.

Unless the concept has changed at some point along the line, I don't think a terrorist is going to get to that rank in the group.

Character's Appearance wrote:

He still has bruises after a long time? He might want to see a doctor.

Internal bleeding wrote:His face has thickset features, with a pronounced jaw, brown eyes and a thick head of curly brown hair; his nose shows signs of having been broken once or twice though it appears to have healed well, marring his appearance very little.

More pockets and pouches than the entirety of Youngblood. The series, not the team.

Liefeld wrote:His normal clothes for out of combat situations consist of black jeans, and a white tee shirt with the same assault boots he always wears; although he rarely goes out and not many people usually see him dressed for civilian life either way so it makes little difference to him how he looks at these times.

I want to make sure that notice happens whenever you go to put that vest on. Also, why doesn't he have a beard? Is he just unable to grow one? It's haraam to alter your physical appearance, so he wouldn't be shaved. That's legal in the military now, too.

Personality Information wrote:Khalid is a complex individual, prone to all manner of emotions he is as far from being just a rage filled psychopath as he is from being a pacifist that rejects all violence altogether.

Seems like a pretty average temperament, then.

Averageman wrote:Though at times depending on the situation and the stimulus he can swing between certain extremes, for example he can go from his normal state of calm, controlled aggression to raging psychopath in the blink of an eye if someone puts him or someone he cares about in trouble.

What kind of conflict are we talking about here? Because meaningless fights with your coworkers or starting a bar brawl are haraam, too.

Learn up, son wrote:When met with violence however his demeanour changes from relaxed, polite coldness to pure killer instinct.

He's going to have body language, especially if flies into a rage like you describe.

Nerp wrote:Combat however is the one time he truly feels like he’s alive, it’s when the bullets are flying that all of his emotions are provoked into a roiling mass that are barely held in check by his willpower that are used to fuel him in combat.

This guy's not a very devout Muslim...

Frank Miller wrote:His most vulnerable trait however is his mild PTSD,

PTSD ain't mild.

Research wrote:everything he has done throughout his life, ever murder, every violent act, and every battle has contributed to the swirling mass of guilt, shame, added to the hatred of his love of combat, it adds up to a suppressed sense of self-loathing.

That's guilt, not PTSD. It's possible to have both of those, but what you've described would merely be a contributing factor to his PTSD.

More research wrote:This is something that’s growing more serious as the years go by and he seeks no help dealing with his demons; this is out of a sense of having to be strong; Khalid hates the thought of people thinking he needs help as he sees it as a sign of weakness. Better. Some actual flaws.

Good idea using different kinds of blessings on weapons. Really not sure how that translates as far as being allowed, though. I get the feeling that's kind of super disrespectful to use a symbol of Allah as a means of killing people.

This power is weird and the costs are too low to have you tossing cars around after one mission.

I don't like it wrote:Economy of motion: Khalid does most of his agility training in his Dragon Skin vest, doing it long enough so that he can move in it so as to keep his mobility and speed in it.

That is a lot of languages for a child soldier terrorist to be knowing.

Batman wrote:Ranged Combat: A Crack shot with his weapons of choice Khalid is also very skilled at maintaining his guns, keeping them in peak condition and battle ready for whenever he needs them; this results in very little chance of his weapons ever jamming because of his high quality care of his weaponry; specifically his rifle is always cleaned out thoroughly after use to ensure it’s good for when it’s needed. The ex-Child Soldier is a very good shot, able to pick out opponents’ weak points to deal killing shots with very little fuss, though he is most effective at medium to close range due to lack of training at long range shots.

Stuff wrote:Close Combat: Trained in boxing, Khalid has always been taught the importance of getting the first strike against the opponent to try to end them as quickly as possible.

Okay, then.

Character Biography wrote:Born in Afghanistan in 1992, Khalid’s father was a prominent fighter for the Mujahidin forces whom had just taken control of the forces for the most part.

Such death, much drama.

Jormungand wrote:However the Americans were the first to strike against the gathering Taliban in Operation Anaconda, over a thousand extremist forces had dug into hillsides and caves while they gathered together to try and take back some of their lost territory.

Breaking it here because it's going to long. I can't really comment on this, other than I've got a distinctly uneasy feeling reading all of this.

Don't know wrote:Message had reached the Taliban, apparently a research group in Brazil wanted, and wanted a test subject.

About three paragraphs in and I still have no idea what these guys are trying to accomplish.

Da fuck? wrote:Quickly returning to training after these few odd weeks passed and left him bigger, stronger and on his feet again the youth’s day was divided up into weapons practice, unarmed combat and general fitness, in the evenings they honed his mind to the point where he was no longer as uneducated as he had been.

Wow, none of that happened.

See, what the files say actually happened (I got them from Steeler just now in an email) was that some operatives found a vampire, staked off the area, then took it out black ops-style. Just like they normally do. There's none of this, "Hellsing finds a special snowflake in the field and invites them to join," bullshit going on in THIS group.

Nope.avi wrote:Taking the job, the 21 year old was put through gruelling tests and challenges, the physical trials the sort of thing that he would have struggled with if not for his “modifications,” but passing it all and going through more mental trials he was taught about what his new job would entail. But although he eventually passed all the tests he still had more to learn, developing and increasing his knowledge of vampire hunting. This has started his path to becoming a high quality operative, having been made Sergeant on account of his good test scores he is seeking glory in the field through missions; and a chance to attain his full potential.

This guy's past makes no sense. First he's a child soldier because shit hit the fan and everyone died, and he's all emo and depressed, but then he gets shipped off to Brazil because science happened and they had no real motives or purposes past that, so they dumped him in America and went all, "Not our problem, yo." Then, he just so happens to kill a vampire like it's nothing because V.W.A.T.'s G Team let it give them the slip into a residential neighborhood of all places, and Numbnuts McFailedfifthgrade goes, "I like you, kid! You got moxy!" and gives him a job. And no one can see through some forged papers or ever questions his incredible strength or ability. Like, his ease in killing that vampire is Gary Stu level, and he's a parody character.
