Ilse has quite a bit of muscle and it shows her biceps and abs are well defined and are kept that way through regular physical conditioning. Her skin is fairly pale and is marred by numerous scars and burns. The most noticeable of these scars being a rather large web of burn scarring that encompass most of her mid top upper back and most left arm and shoulder. With a shirt on the edge of the burn is often barely visible at the bottom of the back of Ilse's neck. Ilse also has a beauty mark beneath her left eye and she is often seen wearing simple 1 inch brushed silver hoop earrings.

During field operations Ilse's attire changes to suit her particular style of combat. She often wears a black fitted compression shirt with a grey tactical vest with a Kevlar inlay with a patch on the front which bears her blood type upon it. The vest is designed to be light weight allowing the wearer to remain light and quick on their feet while also providing at least some measure of protection. The armor itself however is not incredibly thick and is capable of stopping most small caliber rounds ranging from 9mm to perhaps .357 or 5.56 at long range. The vest however is meant mainly to prevent the rounds from gaining penetrations and has no significant protection against the actual impact of the rounds resulting in a what can be described as a punch from the kinetic force of the round. Depending on the round that is stopped the injuries can range from just bruises to broken ribs.

Over this she wears black combat webbing which that bears small pockets for carrying additional equipment. On her hands she wears a pair of black finger less gloves the knuckles of the glove have small metal bolts designed to add more impact and damage to her punches. The inside beneath the bolts are padded to prevent any self-injury from their use. On her back she often wears a single sling canvas material military style backpack for carrying even more equipment into combat. Her backpack is comprised of a single main pocket and two smaller side pockets along the side. It maintains a square like shape through use of plastic framing in the design and features a snap clip for quick removal. The bag also has plastic clips for hanging things from the bag if needed.

Down below Ilse wears a pair of matte black BDU pants with black combat boots. She also wears a web belt which she uses to hang various pouches and clips to bear more gear. Near her knee connected to her web belt she wears a black nylon drop leg holster designed to universally suit most pistol designs. The camouflage or color pattern of her field uniform may change depending on the environment Ilse is expected to enter.

In the rare case where Ilse is allowed to venture out in public her wardrobe is a bit more diverse. In public she often wears any clothing that she may find in her closet that isn't military related in any way. Her most common outfit being a white  long sleeved shirt and a black short sleeve button up shirt and a pair of black jeans with grey sneakers with white socks. She will also often wear her dog tags in public.

Ilse's preferred sidearm of choice is a Springfield Armory 1911. More specifically the Tactical Response Pistol model of the firearm. She prefers the 1911 TRP over other designs mainly due to all of the features and work that is already done to the firearm. The 1911 TRP is chambered to fire .45 ACP ammunition and has a 5" stainless steel match grade barrel. The grip is made with 20LPI checkering in order to give the shooter better grip on the firearm. The firearm also has a lighter 5 pound trigger pull to allow for squeezing off more rounds faster than would normal. It also features a extended beveled magazine well for faster reloading and features a 3-dot tritium sights for better target acquisition.

Ilse's model comes with standard sized 7 round .45 magazines that are filed to sit flush in the magazine well. Ilse often carries a total of 6 magazines for this pistol on her person while keeping one magazine in the pistol itself giving her a total of 49 rounds to use before she needs to resupply. In some cases she may carry more ammunition either in additional magazines or in loose cartridges for reloading in the field. Each round is tipped with silver giving it more effectiveness against supernatural targets.

Ilse's primary weapon of choice is a Heckler and Koch UMP-40 Submachinegun. The UMP-40 is a 40 S&W variant of H&K's popular UMP-45 which was originally chambered in .45 ACP. The UMP-40 fires a .40 S&W cartridge which in some views is basically a slimmed down version of the 10mm AUTO cartridge that was tested years ago. Ilse prefers the .40 S&W over the .45 variant of the UMP mainly due to increased ammunition capacity in comparison to the .45 variant of the weapon. She also believes that the weapon is a good balance between the smaller caliber version the UMP-9 and the UMP-45 making it an effective all around weapon.

The UMP-40 is fed from 30 round double stacked detachable box magazines and has a cyclic firing rate of 650 rounds per minute to compensate for the heavier ammunition used in the weapon due to the heavier recoil using larger rounds provides. The body and the frame of the firearm is comprised mainly from durable lightweight polymers in order to cut down the weight of the weapon which acts as both a curse and a blessing for this weapon. The light weight of the UMP-40 allows for easier target acquisition and more mobility with the trade off being the lack of weight to hold down the heavy recoil of the weapon. The UMP-40 has a total effective range of about 100 meters making it a very short range weapon possessing only twice the effective range of an average handgun.

A few cosmetic features that Ilse possesses on her UMP-40 are a red laser sight mounted on the right picatinny rail and a reflex sighted mounted on the top rail. The left rail possesses an LED flashlight for use in darker conditions. The UMP-40 like it's similar variants possesses a fold-able stock for creating a more compact weapon for use in tighter spaces and also features a fore grip fitted onto the bottom rail of the weapon in-front of the magazine well. Ilse often carries about 4-6 magazines for the UMP-40 not counting the magazine kept in the weapon during operations. Giving her a grand total of 210 rounds to fire before a resupply is required. Each magazine is loaded with silver tipped .40 S&W hollow points.

In a pouch on her bag Ilse carries 3 blocks of Composition C-4 High Explosives. C-4 is a highly stable and insensitive high explosive capable of being torn apart and shaped to suit the needs of the user. C-4 cannot be detonated through impact against a hard surface or through means such as simply shooting it or lighting it on fire. The two main methods of detonating C4 is through the use of extreme heat often in the form of blasting caps or through the use of a shock wave often induced by the use of a detonator. C-4 as a high explosive is extremely destructive even in small quantities.

Ilse carries this for multiple reasons, The most prominent one being the simple fact that in many cases the explosive is quite useful for creating entrances or disposing of other explosive ordnance. It also plays a slight part in a certain hobby that Ilse partakes in every so often when she gains the opportunity. Along with the blocks of C-4 Ilse also carries a pouch filled with blasting caps and detonator receivers for detonation purposes. She also carries a detonator designed with a small LED screen to allow for the detonation of multiple explosives in concert to one another.

Within an emptied out military field medic bag Ilse keeps a collection of surgical tools that she uses for specific purposes. The kit is comprised of basic surgical items such as Scalpels, Bone Chisels, Forceps and Retractors. It also possesses a few other items such as anesthetics or sewing tools for making stitches to close an incision. Quite a few of the tools in Ilse's surgical bag haven't been properly cleaned as directed by medical protocol giving risk of infection to people she "operates" on. Ilse also keeps rags for cleaning up blood and also as a method of using the bottle of chloroform she keeps in the kit as well.

The bag this is all kept in is sometimes switched out for a bag that possesses a different color or camouflage pattern. The original bag that Ilse often uses is a army ACU pattern bag that still possesses quite a few blood stains on it's surface.

To keep in contact with whoever may be holding her leash in the field Ilse wears a black earpiece similar in appearance to a bluetooth headset and a transceiver on her belt. The tranceiver receives and transmits communications back and forth between Ilse and whoever she is receiving her instructions from allowing her to stay in active contact with her handler. The item is relatively basic technology and is the model used actively by military units throughout the United States Armed Forces. The tranceiver can be set to multiple frequencies to receive or transmit to allowing Ilse to remain in contact with multiple sources if need be.

Playing Cards

In her back pocket Ilse carries a small pack of black playing cards which she uses to amuse herself during her down times. She may use the cards to play solitaire with herself or if she has any company she may play a game of poker or blackjack to pass time. She keeps her cards in a small metal tin box, Due to excessive use and frequent shuffling the edges of the cards are worn and frayed from overuse. But for some reason Ilse refuses to buy a new pack of cards.

Personal Effects

Ilse keeps a few personal effects that hold some measure of significance to her one of them being her dog tags from her service in the US Army EOD. Another being a wrinkled and worn picture of her sister Amy. She also owns a wallet that rarely sees much use considering she is technically dead to the rest of the world. The wallet contains identification for a fake identity and during rare occasions she may receive credit or debit cards connected to that name.

Cigarettes

Ilse when she can often likes to keep a pack of Lucky Strike cigarettes on her, Though it is rare when she can actually get her hands on a pack considering Lucky Strikes are such a rare brand to find these days. When she does have a pack it is not uncommon to see her walking around with a one of these cigarettes either lit in her mouth or tucked behind her ear for later use. It is commonly known that smoking is quite a hazard to one's health but Ilse ignores these warnings often brushing off concerns of others with a simple "Smoking is the least of my worries." And in her line of work that sentence may indeed be true.

Personality wrote:Ilse personality wise is a bit of a blank slate in most regards. At one point in time she may have had a more diverse personality but it seems that since her incarceration and inclusion into the ranks of VWAT's convict population has caused any sort of feelings or emotions she one had to die. She often approaches socialization with a neutral expression and her words are nearly the same often remaining at a monotone and level volume. At rare times she may offer small hints of what she might be feeling through small changes in her facial expressions such as a slight upturn or downturn of the lips or narrowing her eyes. Though these changes are so small they often go unnoticed by others unless someone is either actively seeking a reaction from her or the person speaking to her is very observant.

Ilse doesn't really stray away from or seek company and is more the type of person to go with the flow in most situations. If she runs into another person she may offer to play a game of cards or perhaps attempt some semblance of conversation. Though if she is alone this doesn't seem to bother her at all as she'll often just play cards to amuse herself or simply allow herself to drift off into the abyss of her own mind to do who knows what. Socially Ilse can be labeled a bit awkward as her interactions often make most people uncomfortable due to her nearly blunt way of interacting with others. Some take her bluntness with a grain of salt merely contributing it to her personality while others believe that she is purposely blunt due to a low tolerance of others.

In combat however Ilse seems to take a complete change in personality, The changes appear to be so drastic that those who have worked with her describe it as "Working with an entirely different person." In combat Ilse appears to exhibit a more excitable and outgoing side of herself that slowly progresses into a different personality that is rarely presented. This personality change is often fueled by the rush of adrenaline felt during combat and also to an extent her wish to cause harm to others. In combat Ilse has been known to smile with what can be described as "Sadistic Glee." Others have mentioned that Ilse's change in personality seems to be fueled by a pure enjoyment of inducing pain onto her foes leading many to believe that Ilse herself is a sadist.

If her combat high is drawn out long enough Ilse appears to be drawn deeper into her new personalities mannerisms. She exhibits unstable mannerisms such as laughing at her own morbid humor or just from seeing the sight of blood being drawn from enemies. Her sadism also seems to intensify as it has been witnessed by others Ilse's brutal habits for those unfortunate enough to be wounded or incapacitated in her presence. It is believed that Ilse's secondary personality is heavily due to past events that have occurred in Ilse's life.

Mental disorders have been ruled out due to the fact that it seems Ilse is fully aware of her actions recalling them almost perfectly from memory after her episodes have faded. Further evaluations into her psyche have been administered by psychiatric personnel in Fort Belvoir but thus far it is unknown if both of these personalities are equal parts of Ilse's psyche or if she simply behaves in a certain way to cope with certain situations. In general Ilse's personality tends to fluctuate greatly between two different types of behaviors.

Ilse is well versed in hand to hand combat and utilizes a collection of martial arts all employed at once in one hybrid martial art.

The majority of her fighting is done through the use of well placed jabs, straights, hooks and crosses toward her foes vulnerable points such as the throat, face, stomach and groin. It also heavily utilizes the dodges learned through dodging and incorporates crippling counter attacks utilized in the martial art Krav Maga. It also factors in the idea of quickly finishing a fight rather than dragging it out and also a good sense of self-awareness. This mixed with the speed associated with Boxing allows Ilse to effectively take on multiple foes at once in some cases often using her situational awareness to keep tabs on her foes and launch pre-emptive attacks or use counter-attacks to ward off other foes while she focuses on a particular one.

Ilse also incorporates the styles of Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu into her fighting most notably the escapes and submission holds and ground strategies known in BJJ and the elbow and knee techniques learned from Muay Thai. For fighting with her knife Ilse has adopted two other styles the first being the Indonesian martial art Pencak Silat and the second being Apache Knife Fighting. Both styles have given Ilse quite a diverse arsenal of techniques to utilize in combat. Ilse is also trained in the use of Modern Army Combatives an MMA style utilized by the United States Army. Ilse's training in all of these various martial arts are due in part to immense interest and due to the general usefulness of knowing how to defend oneself.

Mainly due to exercise being one of the few things that she is regularly allowed and able to do while incarcerated. During her time in the United States Army Ilse primarily served as an EOD specialist. During her training at Fort Lee in Virginia, Ilse learned a variety of skills that related to the task of locating, and properly disposing of dangerous explosive devices such as IEDs and other threats. From her training Ilse is capable of identifying dangerous munitions and knowing a good deal about their functionality and explosive yield. She is also trained in proper disposal through defusal of such devices or through premature detonation of such devices. As she is trained to remove and dispose of such objects Ilse also has a fair amount of knowledge in placing and setting these devices as well.

With her training Ilse can also operate certain types of unmanned robotic drones for safer disposal of explosives.

As part of a personal hobby Ilse has rudimentary knowledge into the process of administering surgery on other individuals. Though her knowledge mainly focuses around cutting open her patients and then stitching them back up and has no real medical knowledge. Ilse's skill as a surgeon is also quite basic and she is prone to making multiple mistakes while operating on a patient. Though for the purpose of what she administers the surgery for the mistakes are often just overlooked by Ilse as they don't really impede her true intentions for her patients.

For the first 13 years of her life Ilse's life was relatively normal she attended elementary and junior high, Made friends and generally lived the life most children lead trying to make good grades in a boring school environment while socializing and hanging out with her friends when her time wasn't being taken up by homework or chores. At the age of 13 her life changed quite substantially as a rift began to form between Ilse's mother and father. For a year the tensions between her parents built up to a breaking point when Ilse's father was caught having an affair with another woman.

Ilse's father claimed that his love for his wife had diminished as time had passed leading him to seek the love he once felt for her with another woman. The affair was quickly followed by long arduous divorce case between her parents. By the end of the entire situation the case ended with both of her parents sharing joint custody over Ilse with the families possessions being equally split between both parents. Living life being swapped between both of her parents was initially difficult for Ilse as she had grown accustomed to living with both of her parents for the longest time. But as time continued to pass by Ilse somehow grew used to being shared between her parents.

Even with these irregular living arrangements Ilse's life continued to go on relatively normal as she moved on from Junior High to High School. Her father had married the woman who he'd had an affair with and together they birthed a daughter. Ilse rather than showing contempt or anger toward her father's new wife and daughter treated them as family all the same and slowly the rift between Ilse's family slowly closed as the family interacted together more on Ilse's insistence. During High School Ilse was a relatively normal student she rarely allowed herself to get involved in the dramas often associated with High School and focused more on enjoying her High School life while maintaining decent grades.

For the most part Ilse wasn't all that excited about the jobs she had been allowed to choose from. By no means were they bad jobs but most of them failed to peak her interest mainly due to the fact that a good deal of the jobs she'd been offered could be done as a civilian. Ilse wanted a job that would offer excitement and give her a feeling of accomplishment. And going on Ilse's preference her recruiter suggested taking on the Explosive Ordnance Disposal MOS.

Wait for it wrote:After listening to what the assignment entailed Ilse agreed seeing the job as interesting. After attended boot camp for 10 weeks Ilse was sent to Fort Lee Virginia for a training course that would span over 39 weeks. After she had completed her training Ilse was transferred to Fort Campbell to join up with the 52nd Ordnance Group based out of it. Shortly after her arrival to Fort Campbell she was deployed to Afghanistan to help combat the threat of IEDs to United States Military Personnel and the Civilian Population. For at time Ilse did her job as entailed rarely running into any serious incidents and none that ever took the life of anyone around her.

It wasn't until a year into her service where an event that would change her outlook would occur. In 2009 Ilse while stationed at one of the many FOBs built in Afghanistan had grown somewhat attached to a group of children who lived in a village nearby. Ilse would often give the children candy from her MREs or play games with them while off duty. One child in particular she grew close to was a little girl who went by the name of Najia, Ilse grew close to the little girl mainly because she was an orphan who'd never known the care of a parent and over the time Ilse had come to know her she'd slowly fit into that empty space for the girl. Unknown to Ilse however was the fact that for some time the Mujahideen had been watching over the FOB and more specifically Ilse's interactions with the children.

Almost out of thin air Ilse noticed that Najia had ceased coming out to meet her when she'd come to play with the other children. For a while Ilse although worried dismissed it simply as Najia wanting to be alone or having found new friends. After nearly a 2 week absence Najia appeared once more approaching Ilse when she and her squad were on their way out of the FOB. Ilse quickly noticed the girls haggard and bloody appearance and quickly called for medical help. Immediately medical personnel rushed out to assist Ilse with the girl but as the medical personnel arrived Ilse had done her own examination on the girl. What she found were stitches around the girls stomach and just beneath the surface of the skin. Ilse quickly ordered the medical personnel to stay back recognizing the handi-work from her training as the techniques used for implanting an SIIED.

Ilse immediately summoned her squad to help her remove it but halfway through the process the Mujahideen militants observing the entire scene set off the explosive. The explosion killed 3 of Ilse's squadmates and injured two others. Ilse herself was injured as well suffering a broken arm, wrist, and multiple burns and lacerations all over her body. Surprisingly though Ilse managed to recover completely from her injuries and was eventually cleared for active duty. However the mental trauma she endured from the entire incident scarred and disturbed her greatly. However Ilse still continued to carry out her duties. But as she continued to do so her squadmates and those she worked with began to notice the changes in behavior, The woman who'd once spent most of her off-time playing with children now spent her time alone just staring off into space.

The man having now introduced himself as a representative of the CIA offered Ilse a different alternative to Military Prison. The alternative was to be inducted into a PMC outfit secretly backed by the CIA and the United States Government. The PMC known as SC Risk Control Services was a PMC meant to operate outside of the jurisdiction of the United States. They would operate independently under the guise of being payed by an unknown benefactor to terrorize militants in Afghanistan. Ilse agreed to join the PMC outfit and to assist in her "Work." She was given a crash course into surgical work and proceeded to continue implanting such explosives into captured Mujahideen militants. In the beginning Ilse's work was driven mainly by her desire to attain revenge for her comrades and Najia. But as time progressed her purpose became clouded with each victim her mind began to convince itself more and more that she really enjoyed what she was doing. And in time she'd begun to believe it all.

Ilse in particular was labeled as a war criminal and sent to Guantanamo bay to serve her sentence. After serving almost a year of her sentence Ilse was released once more this time greeted by a representative from a different organization. The organization in question was VWAT where she now serves as member of it's Convict strike forces.

She serves as both an EOD operative and also at times an interrogator when VWAT takes prisoners they deem expendable and in possession of important information.
