Hyaskus (Done) Empty Hyaskus (Done)

Post by Hyaskus Sun Oct 20, 2013 1:08 am

Have you see the OVA or read the manga series of Hellsing? If so how far have you gotten? If not please direct your attention to YouTube, and watch OVA 1-4 at least. I read Volumes 1-4 and 10 and I saw all the OVA's.

Name: (The name of your character, can be an alias if preferred to be anonymous.)

Hyaskus

Age: (How old is your character? Vampires cannot be older than 567 years old, or even remotely near that age. The forum moves in relative real time, meaning it is the same year in the game as it is in reality, and relatively the same month.)
145

Gender: (Male, female, hermaphroditic, non-gender, trans*? You decide.)

As Male as a Librarian can be.

Appearance: (What your character looks like, including clothing.)

Standing at an impressive 6'5, Hyaskus is relatively free from scars save for his chest which his covered in severe scars. His nose is small and fairly normal, his eyes are not the norm of vampires, save for cases of extreme emotion (Fear, anger, sadness, etc.) but are usually a Golden Color. His hair is a Reddish Brown. His skin is, of course, pale due to lack of sun exposure. He sports slight stubble on his chin.

Hyaskus wears a pristine black vest and an equally clean white, satin shirt, with usually a blazer over it without his hands going into the sleeve. His neck is adorned with a gold pendant that has a purple gem in the center. He would never tell anyone but this is a personal keepsake from his Human life and his family's heirloom.   His shoes are size 15 Doc Martins he also wears black pants.

Equipment: (What your character prefers to use in combat. Special weapons are unique, but magical weapons are harshly frowned upon and require much explanation. The same can be said about more outlandish science-based equipment, as well. Also includes any items worth mentioning your character has on hand.)

Not usually an unarmed fighter, Hyaskus often relies on the Smooth edged Sabre that hangs from his belt the handle having a small pendant on the end of it ,an upside down cross as it were and the blade was designed to drain the blood from his enemies with a indent running up the blade on each side in a shallow valley shape (Not absorb but just makes one bleed out faster) . He retrieved this from a decaying grave-robber he found in a crypt  ( http://jodysamson.com/images/swords/7-19-06/jodys-ring-sabre.jpg )  , but since he is a strong believer of Adapt or Die, he always carries a glock with 24 9mm rounds,12 hollow point rounds and 4 speed loaders as well.

Race: (One of the available races from the race sheet.)

A Category F Vampire.

Abilities: (The ability of your character befitting his/her/its race.)

The weakest of vampires, often seen as the beginners, and often the cannon fodder, easily killed and nothing much to hunt down. These creatures aren't really a threat to professional supernatural hunting organizations, but nonetheless, they are still deadly to the human, and possess a large number to make up for.
Regenerative Potential: Level 1 (15 posts for major damage)
Physical Abilities: Level 0 (Initial vampirism catapults any individual to the peak of human strength, agility, stamina and reflexes)
Durability: Level 0 (No noticeable difference compared to an average human), susceptible to unblessed damage (can still prove fatal in excessive amounts)
Additional Supernatural abilities: Ability to turn virgins into weak vampires like themselves, non-virgins into very weak ghouls, required to drink blood often, large weakness to sunlight (causes burning sensation)

^Hya is all of the this ^

A tactician by frequenting chess matches and reading many books about military accomplishments. Hyaskus always tries to use any possible advantage if given the opportunity. He will always try to gain the high ground, always lurk within the shadows, and unless he has a particularly clever plan, will not charge a particularly large group of people by himself (Unless driven into a rage or such where he will simply charge and dodge little) .Back when among the living, Hyaskus read a lot about human anatomy and knows always where to strike, and also how to put up a decent fight against a trained opponent. In battle he uses his agility to the fullest making leap and bounds around his opponents or simply rushing at them. On a non-combative note, he usually passes the time when not eating, fighting, or reading by writing. He has also learned the waltz and knows a great deal about agriculture and other farm work.

Organization: (Which organization do you serve? Hellsing? The Iscariot? The dastardly Millennium? The militaristic V.W.A.T.? Perhaps feeling a bit confused and decide to go at it alone? You decide.)

Unaffiliated.

Personality: (Everything that makes your character unique. How they feel, act, present themselves, think, etc.)

Personality:  Intelligent, cool, tactical, and determined, Hyaskus sees his Vampirism as a gift to learn as much as possible.  While in the beginning he held life with a passion and would only feed from the despicable, he eventually started to see humans as beneath him intelligence, mortality, and their way of life. As such he utilizes his abilities to further accomplish his goals, which to be honest, could be something as menial as fetching a book from somewhere not too far. In times of stress his personality shifts to brash, hot headed, and stubborn, truly showing his decaying morality. One failing of this Vampire, however, is his arrogance. He often underestimates his opponents, this could lead to his defeat should he get too cocky.

Rank: (What rank do you hold in the group you serve? Pick ranks that are appropriate to your group.)

Librarian.

Biography: (Your character's life, from beginning to the current time. Note: Characters cannot be born as supernatural creatures.)

In life, Hyaskus lived in Iceland during what is now called the Victorian era. As far back as he could remember, Hyaskus was fascinated with books, and the obtainment of knowledge. Unfortunately he was a poor farm boy and he could not afford the books he so desired. This usually caused him to either steal books as ealry as when he was Eleven, or get a job during the harsh winters where nothing could grow. One night, his family found out about his thieving ways and burned all of his books. That was the last night he ever saw his parents, as he ran away that night with nothing but the clothes on his back and some bread, although, he vowed to make an honest living for himself and not end up being a lowly farmer like his father. Then, when Hyaskus was already into his manhood at the ripe age of Twenty-Seven, working as a librarian of sorts, he heard news of Vampires in the country. Curious, the man traveled to the town to learn more of the mysterious beings. Unfortunately for him, he got his wish. He was, indeed, attacked by a Vampiress. Luckily, a coupling of Hyaskus feigning death, and a large commotion nearby caused her too flee. Hyaskus was now a member of the Undead. Since then he went from country to country, satiating his hunger, and immersing himself in books, as he certainly had the time for it now.   He survived this long by only feeding out of necessity, and even then only the scum of the earth, as if putting down the diseased to save the rest of the herd. This is because even though he sees Humans as nothing as animals, he sees potential in such animals as one hopes to teach a gorilla sign language. He still belittles them, of course, but he does not go on random killing sprees, thus flying under the radar of both Hellsing and Iscariot.

Sample: (A short sample of how you intend to play. A practice roleplay can take the place of a sample. Only required for first time members, optional for all others.)

Hyaskus was outraged: This insignificant human policeman was actually able to wound him! Working through the pain of the many bullets within his abdomen, The Vampire charged, his sword drawn, forgetting about the revolver in his holster in his arrogance, and lunged at the man, his sword to pierce his heart. The poor policeman, unable to comprehend his vampiric speed, merely stood there. Both were quite surprised when Hyaskus' direction was changed, and now the vampire was now on the ground, holding his side for a few moments. Hyaskus looked up and saw another human, this one with a shotgun. It was then Hyaskus remembered his own weapon and drew his loaded revolver. Aiming for the newcomer's heart, Hyaskus pulled the trigger and chuckled to himself as everything behind the Shotgun wielder was being showered in blood, the hollow point bullets making quite the exit wound. The police officer simply ran. Hyaskus would've chased after him, but it was nearly dawn and a fresh meal was right over there, bleeding out...

Social Sample: *Hyaskus entered the 24 hour bookstore, the moon overhead. As he entered, the female cashier looked at him with a cheery expression, "Hello sir! How can I help you?" The Vampire looked at her with disdain, "Just point me to your Personal Computers." Hyaskus said, obviously not used to the modern lingo such as how everyone either just says Computer, or PC. Not skipping a beat, the girl guided him to the computer where he sat down, "Is there anything else?" She said, again cheery. "Leave me be. I do not wish to spend any more time here than I have to." He said, obviously annoyed. Once the cashier left, Hyaskus looked up several articles on the computer, smirking about how far Computers have advanced.

That height is pushing it. He doesn't have much facial description, nor does he have a build. Eyes are fairly normal in what they do for his level.

Clothing is very sparse. Detail it to me.

You don't give us much of an idea as to what this sword looks like. There aren't any specifications or description past the pendant (which is a Christian symbol, mind you). Even I know that weapon doesn't have enough information to be valid.

Body knowledge is pushing it with that wording. I'm going to have to start striking if you go over the line again.

Too short. We need some more to build on the good stuff here.

At no point did he think this was a bit of an overreaction?

There's no feigning death here. Vampires can hear your heartbeat. If she went to the trouble of biting into your throat, she'll probably go to the trouble of carrying you off to eat later. Even if you are dead, what does that matter? It's not like she wanted to make you her pet. What she needs you for is not affected by you being alive or dead.

First sample is just a curbstomp battle and doesn't really show us how you're going to fight. Second one is written in present tense and is pretty short and meh.
